BELGRADE - The General Assembly of Confindustria Serbia was hosted on 12th of October at the Embassy of Italy in Belgrade. The event celebrated the association's 10 years activity, and was held inf front of institutional guests and economic operators.
The Ambassador of Italy in Serbia, Luca Gori, opened the meeting by sharing the growing value of the interchange between Italy and Serbia (+ 14.5% in the first 8 months of 2022), "to which Confindustria Serbia has ensured an extremely important contribution by contributing to the strengthening of commercial relations between Rome and Belgrade ”. Ambassador Gori also took the opportunity, in the occasion of the tenth anniversary, not only to recall the progress made by Serbia in the economic field, but also to outline the future of the privileged relationship between the two countries, "which will benefit from cooperation in innovative sectors such as agri-tech, digitalization, energy transition and start-up ".
Also present were the president of Confindustria Serbia, Patrizio Dei Tos, the president of Confindustria Est Europa, Maria Luisa Meroni, via video link, the president of Finest, Alessandro Minon, the managing director of Assicurazioni Generali Serbia, Dragan Filipovic, and the vice president of the Banca Intesa Serbia Board, Eduardo Bombieri.
The event was preceded by a round table dedicated to female entrepreneurship and embellished by the fashion show of "Nonna Etno", a Serbian brand that presented some clothes made with Italian yarns and inspired by the art of Tuscan embroidery.
Finally, the General Assembly of Confindustria was the occasion to deliver to DDOR Osiguranje (UnipolSai Assicurazioni Group) the first edition of the award named after Franco Del Neri, an entrepreneur among the founders of Confindustria Serbia who died less than a year ago.
